Nov 2005 to March 2017:

Responsible for populating the Data Warehouse on an AS400 using RPGLE, Cognos, Data Manager ETL and Framework Manager. Processes are scheduled to begin at various times after normal operating hours and must send email notifications when abnormal conditions arise. This includes trouble shooting and resolving collection issues.

Responsible for setup and control of data collection from several AS400’s, SQL Server systems, HP Unix systems, and other systems outside the company. Multiple Data Marts and Cubes are maintained depending on the subject matter content. Collection process uses parameter files to control files to be collected and last updated dates. Numerous reports and spreadsheets are generated using parameter files to select data for specific corporations, nursing homes, etc, email information for standard delivery or Bursting to multiple locations, and firing triggers to activate Cognos Reports.

Cognos 10.2 Reportnet is used to generate reports, and graphs that may use prompts with various data selection options to be run interactively or scheduled using the Windows scheduler. Some reports are initiated by firing a trigger from the ETL process. Some reports and spreadsheets are delivered using a parameter file containing FTP destination options with confidential encryption and zipped files.

Senior Programmer Analyst:

Responsible for writing and maintaining programs relating to a high volume medication prescription system for Long Term Care facilities. Over a hundred pharmacies throughout the country utilized this system. This Order Entry system tracks prescriptions from the time they were ordered at the nursing home until delivered.
