Hosted technical seminar with surgeons to discuss the cutting edge technologies; provided strong support to Chinese surgeons who visit Memphis campus;

Conducted various design verification/validation activities on the implants and instruments, including compression fatigue tests, subsidence tests, wear tests, cadaveric tests and animal studies; conducted finite element analysis (FEA) of MAVERICK™ disc, Expandable Cages, and instruments using ANSYS™ and MSC MARC™ software; presented the FEA analysis in the Medtronic computer simulation group;

Led the customer special artificial discs projects (D-MAV™ implants, A-MAVTM special parts, and various instruments);

Coordinated the biomechanical research activities of MAVERICK™ disc in USF, in Walter-Reed hospital, and in U. of Utah; and animal studies of non-fusion devices in NYU.
