Provide care to pre op and post op patients of all ages that are stable and relatively healthy.

• Receive and recover patients from the operating room with orthopedic, ear/nose/throat, podiatry, dental, thyroid, parathyroid, mastectomy, and plastic surgery procedures.

• Manage and maintain blood pressure, post-operative nausea and pain.

• Transition to phase II recovery, prepare patient to go home after surgery, educate patient to restrictions and recommended medications.

• Work closely with anesthesia, surgeons and operating room team.

Provide care to pre op and post op cardiac patients that are both stable and non stable. Familiar with cardiac vaso-pressers, arterial lines, central venous pressure lines, Swanson catheters, right and left ventricular assisted devices, total artificial hearts, and balloon pumps.

• Prepared for any over flow intensive care unit patient from other intensive care units in the hospital.

• Work closely with intensivist, fellows, residents and participate in grand rounds.
