Many years experience in IT, providing service & installation planning on various equipment, and PC LAN/WAN technical support at IBM & consulting jobs.

While working for IBM in the early 1980's I was the Installation Planning Representative that helped plan the computer room in the basement of the DIA building at Bolling Air Force Base. I also did planning for NSA, CIA, NASA, Fannie Mae, Sallie Mae, AID, Georgetown University, Howard University, American University, Giant Food, Safeway and many more in the Washington, Baltimore area.

I have a current secret security clearance. I should have no problem getting a Top Secret clearance if needed. I have no polygraph.

Proficient using DOS, OS/2, All Windows Operating Systems and most popular PC software packages on the market (ie, MS Office, Word Perfect, MS Visio, MS Project, etc).

Service / Maintenance / Project / Coordinator for Just-In-Time-Repair (JITR) of equipment at DOD Medical Treatment Facilities (Military Hospitals World Wide) under the Defense Supply Services – Washington DC. Provided coordination of in-house & third party technical resources and replacement equipment to domestic and international locations. Systems focus centered on UNIX-based HP 9000 servers, routers, switches, hubs, VMS-based DEC Alpha Servers (600, 2100, 4100, 8400, DS10, ES40 & GS140), also the storage systems associated with these systems, included but not limited to SCSI Controllers, Tape Drives, Printers, PC's and other network peripherals.

One of a team of three (3) Service / Maintenance / Project / Coordinators restructuring internal operations process to enhance quality control and customer satisfaction issues. This process resulted in measurable increases, netting a 9.5 rating on a 10-point scale for third and fourth quarter Quality Commitment Program assessments for the client; a rating criteria critical for award of 2.5 year contract to continue the service effort

Also re-engineered work order process to provide more structure, accountability and enhanced process flows to provide real-time closure and audit of work activities resulting in visible improvement and improved client perception of process.

Also restructured billing process to provide for timely submission of pre-approval invoices/datasheets.

Worked from home for over a year supporting this contract.
