Key Achievement: Reconciled previously unreconciled Opex of CFA Franc 80 million. Reconciled account balances that had been outstanding for 5 years. This led to the Organization having second phase funding. Designed and Implemented analytics and metrics based forecasting and process allowing real time fact-based decision-making. Designed financial protocols and procedures to control costs and monitor disbursements. Facilitated a risk management workshop which led to the establishment and implementation of a risk management Policy in WWF Cameroon

Experience

Managed the finances of the Program for the Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in the South West Region of Cameroon (PSMNR-SW), co-financed by Federal Republic of Germany through KFW – development bank, in Cooperation with GIZ.

Managed budgets and accounting of three national conservation projects: Mt. Cameroon Natural Park, Korup National Park, Banyang Mbo Wildlife Sanctuary: CFA Franc 600 million annual budget each.

Performed risk assessments, data analytics and financial review for 20+ projects. Compiled and presented audit findings and recommended practical process improvements resulting in reduced Operational Expenditure.

Consultant Cost Accountant with the Himalayan Institute 08/2014 – 06/2017

Key Achievements: Designed a system for purchasing and tracking of raw material and cost allotment to different products. Calculated and assigned direct and indirect cost to determine break even points and actual selling price margins. Set up a system using QuickBooks for recording cost by nature and assigning to products according to usage. Established and Implemented cost standard and a system for market analysis reports. Trained the accountant on data collection and posting transactions accounting to the designed chart of accounts.
