OVERVIEW

Caterpillar dealer apprenticeship trained with BARZEM Zimbabwe from 1994 to 1998 and was taken up as a Field Service Mechanic until May 2000. Joined a road construction company Asphalt Products as a Hands on Workshop Supervisor until January 2003. Joined a construction company Murray & Roberts Botswana in February 2003 as a Field Service Mechanic until January 2004. In February 2004, I joined Barloworld Equipment Botswana as Repair & Maintenance Mechanic under a MARC contract at Jwaneng Mine in Botswana. Promoted to MARC Supervisor in September 2007 then again promoted to MARC Project Lead in January 2012 until February 2015 when my position was localised. I went into directorship under Lead Base Botswana as a Field Service Technician from March 2015 to November 2015 when I had to leave the country due to work permit constraints. Relocated to South Africa and joined Universal Plant Hire as a Field Service Mechanic in April 2016 to April 2017. Joined Technical and Mechanical Evaluation Services (T&ME Services) in May 2017 to date as a Field Service Technician.

Organised and diligent team player possessing a strong technical aptitude forming highly developed mechanical, leadership and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work in challenging conditions.

My career objective is to undertake a career opportunity in the equipment maintenance field where I can utilize and expand my broad knowledge and experience gained through construction and mainly mining industries with a commitment to meeting the OH&S standards

ACHIEVEMENTS

Implemented maintenance and repair processes that saw the reliability and availability KPIs of 793D dump trucks rise to world class standard in very difficult underfoot conditions.

I initiated a chassis crack monitoring and repair programme that did not affect the fleet KPIs with strategically scheduled downtime repairs.
