Title LSB steganography

Project brief

To transfer the data securely to the destination without any modifications, there are many approaches like steganography. The concept of steganography using “ LSB METHOD” is used to hide the secret message.

It is a data hiding techniques, which aims at transmitting a message on a channel where some other kind of information is already being transmitted. The goal of steganography is to hide messages inside the images in such a way that does not allow any “enemy” to even detect that there is a secret message present in the image. Steganography attempts to hide the existence of communication [1]. The basic structure of Steganography is made up of three components:

i.The Carrier image.

ii. The Message.

iii. The Key

Least significant bit (LSB) insertion is a common and simple approach to embed information in an image file. In this method the LSB of a byte is replaced with an M s bit. This technique works good for image steganography. To the human eye the stego image will look identical to the carrier image.. For hiding information inside the images, the LSB (Least Significant Byte) method is usually used. To a computer an image file is simply a file that shows different colors and intensities of light on different areas of an image. The best type of image file to hide information inside is a 24 Bit BMP (Bitmap) image. When an image is of high quality and resolution it is a easier to hide information inside image.

During linked list implementation faced multiple challenges using the free function usage

Project brief

Mp3tag is a powerful and easy-to-use tool to edit metadata of audio files. It supports batch tag-editing of ID3v1, ID3v2.3, ID3v2.4, iTunes MP4, WMA, Vorbis Comments and APE Tags for multiple files at once covering a variety of audio formats. Furthermore, it supports online database lookups from, e.g., Discogs, MusicBrainz or freedb, allowing you to automatically gather proper tags and download cover art for your music library. You can rename files based on the tag information, replace characters or words in tags and filenames, import/export tag information, create playlists and more.

Mini Project: RFID Traffic Sign Recognition and Vehicle Speed controller.

Objective : To bring down the alarming rate of road accidents.

Description: The system works on the principal of RFID which has RF-transmitter and receiver. Here, the system controls the speed of the vehicle without user intervention. In order to reduce the accidents at particular regions, we control the vehicle speed by placing the RF transmitter to the traffic pole of desired location such as school zones, hospitals and crowdie regions etc… RF transmitter transmits the speed instructions to RF receiver which is placed in vehicles so that speed of the vehicles varies with in the RF region and displays the traffic instructions in LED screen of the vehicle.

Major Project: Data acquisition system in coal mines using camera with robot

Domain : Embedded Systems

Objective : Acquiring the data in coal mines for conducting the rescue operationsDescription: The robot is sent inside the coalmines to collect the information and circumstances of physical quantities such as: Temperature, Humidity, fire. Here physical parameters are sensed by the sensors and corresponding information can be displayed on the LCD board. The robot moves in different directions according to the instructions given by the user and it captures the images and gives continuous video monitoring through the wireless camera. Captured images and video can be displayed on the monitor through zigbee communication.

Co-curricular activities:

Participated in a poster presentation in BVRIT on Application of Robotics in mining Industry.

Achieved merit certificate in Quiz competition and poster presentation in Electro surge – 2k13 held at MRCET. Organized events “Poster Presentation” in our department.
