Tire and Lube Express Service Technician
I worked full-time at Walmart’s automotive department for the summer that preceded my first semester of college.
In this position, I completed oil changes on vehicles in both the upper bay and lower bay. I also changed/balanced tires, completed flat repairs on flat tires, cleaned the shop daily, and worked as a salesman when making tire or oil change package sales.
During my time in this position, I learned how to be dedicated for 40 hours each week. Providing quality work consistently is a must, and my time in this position groomed my dependability. Also, I was able to grasp a broader understanding of how automobiles and other complicated mechanical machines are constructed efficiently and effectively. Lastly, this position vastly improved my repertoire as a hands-on handyman, which will pay dividends working as an engineer.

Inventory Auditor
I worked full-time for Reliant Inventory Services Louisville branch during the summer after my first year of college.
In this position, I was part of a group of approximately 15 team members who travelled daily throughout Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio for inventory audits. We were responsible for swiftly completing an accurate inventory count of the sales floor and back room for the chain stores Ace Hardware, Jay C Foods, Save-A-Lot, and United Dairy Farmers.
During my time in this position, I was trained to efficiently work with a deadline, as we had to finish each store by a set time. In addition, I was able to perfect my punctuality and dependability by leaving for work before 5AM each morning. Lastly, I polished my ability to effectively work and communicate with coworkers to finish a job quickly as a cohesive unit.
