Lead Materials Planning & Execution Specialist

*SMI reduction by 20% for TM2500 product line

Partnered with both engineering and manufacturing teams to successfully reapply on hand material on units being manufactured. Resulting in a 20% reduction of SMI and a $2.8MM cost savings for TM2500 units. There were some parts that we used As-Is and others that had to be modified in house or sent to vendors for conversion.

*Material and Engineering Alignment of Processes

Worked with this cross-functional planning team to ensure complete engineering process alignment. The team focused on parts attribute ownership, definition, functional roles/responsibility, item activation and change management process. Throughout the work-out the team used the lean methodology by removing multiple manual steps and consolidating task approvals, but still ensuring alignment to the overall design.

*Implemented Project Improvements

Implemented and tracked 5 Projects totaling over $11MM.

Engine Conversion – Partnered with the Aviation engineering team to develop plan to convert two on hand engines and reapply them which realized a savings of $10MM.

Gen8 Phase 4 update - This new update used new parts and revisions. With buy in from engineering and manufacturing teams, I successfully reapplied existing material and realized savings of over $1MM. There were no major changes to the design of components required.

Bellmouth Seal – Existing components had safety issues that were found in the field that required replacement with a new seal. Managed the process of replacing the needed seal in 49 units for both domestic and international markets.

*Implementation of Gen8 TM2500

Products & Services/Technology/Simplification

Participated, tracked and managed the changes that came across to Manufacturing during the Gen8 Phase 4 update. Worked with engineering, manufacturing and sourcing daily to monitor changes.
