Assist with new business efforts and strategy thinking on existing client roster. Provided management & strategic oversight on $30+ million billings Bottom Dollar Food grocery store.

Key Accomplishments:

Significantly increased Bottom Dollar Food billings while expanding agency role as integrated partner.

Assisted in the Bottom Dollar Food campaign development that doubled weekly transaction count and increased weekly store sales to corporate objectives.

Created an innovative strategic platform for Mitsubishi Electric that inspired an Effie eligible creative campaign leading to a 300% increase in leads and a significant increase in positive aided awareness.

June 2009-September 2010: Voluntarily left previous Stone General Manager position in June 2009 and moved to San Francisco to assume some family responsibilities. While assisting mother in transition from independent home owner to life in a full care living facility I created two blogs (www.enlightenedconflict.com and www.projectglobalgeneration.com ) worked with Aramark and Flying Rhinoceros (a web-based children’s education company) on consulting assignments and created a web-based global children’s education program.

THE STONE AGENCY, Raleigh, North Carolina 2006-June 2009

Advertising agency serving regional and national clients. Approximate annual billings: $25M.

Chief Operating Officer/General Manager: Led all aspects of agency operations, overseeing departments and company initiatives. Manage in-house staff ranging in size from 16-25 as well as a virtual network of creative resources and direct marketing partners. Create and implement new business development strategies and business generation processes. Increase revenue streams from existing clients. Supervised production of request for proposal (RFP) responses and established a more aggressive approach to business acquisition via RFPs. Managed key client relationships, including The Body Shop, BCBS of NC and Novozymes. Provided employee development opportunities.

Key Accomplishments:

Significantly increased agency billings while improving revenue by 10% despite challenges posed by 50% agency staff turnover.

Created an innovative, Effie-award-eligible, integrated marketing campaign that renewed the agency’s relationship with its largest client and led to expansion of engagement scope.

Integration Leader: Directed agency integration practice, co-creating the organization’s strategy. Developed new business, participating in all phases of new client acquisition. Cultivated partnership with Brandstorm brand consulting agency to provide input on significant branding assignments. Led key account management initiatives to retain and strengthen relationship with KeyBank, a national bank client, during a challenging period, directing a team in excess of 20 to secure and service the account. Managed the Sona MedSpa account, a national franchise client, leading a 15-person team on a $20M integrated marketing project.

Played integral role in acquiring major client accounts, including Gorilla Glue, Finlandia Vodka, Ohio Quitline, Escort Radar Detectors, Kentucky Lottery and Sona MedSpa.

WESTWAYNE (CURRENTLY 22SQUARED), Atlanta, Georgia 2000-2003

Largest independent advertising agency in the Southeast, specializing in strategy, traditional and digital advertising, web development, e-marketing and public relations. Approximate annual billings: $400M.

Senior Vice President & Business Development Director: Led operations in 3 offices with more than 300 employees. Reported directly to the President, serving as 2nd in command and chairing the President’s Advisory Committee. Directed business development efforts, participating in major account acquisitions. Oversaw campaign development. Mentored and coached employees. Prior to Business Development provided oversight on $50+M SunTrust Bank account during a difficult transition period and acquisition and merging of a major regional bank.

Played integral role in acquiring major client accounts, including Taco Cabana, Tampa Museum of Science & Industry and Orlando Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Served as corporate trainer, coaching employees on strategy development and account management techniques. Managed key accounts, including the Georgia Department of Industry, Trade & Tourism, Orkin and Sanderson Farms. Received Mentor of the Year Award from the national multi-cultural organization, coaching an intern who eventually founded a successful multi-cultural communications agency.
