CAREER BACKGROUND
2003 – PRESENT
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, the jules allen group, inc
Direct overall operations and P&L management for 35,000 sq ft facility, comprised of up to 100 employees. Establish performance indicators, operating goals, productivity improvements and cost reduction programs that consistently improved product output, product quality and customer satisfaction. Areas of management involved strategic planning, human resources, business development, marketing, sales, design/development, production, and finance.
Launched a wholesale division from start-up to $20M in sales annually. Helped build key accounts with Nordstrom, Bloomingdales, Zappos, and Costco, representing 60% of wholesale sales.
Conceived, designed and implemented an in house product development and production division resulting in 25% reduction in production costs, 15% reduction in inventory levels, and improved quality and customer service levels.
Initiated and built strong relationship with oversees manufacturers to enable growth with large volume retail accounts, Nordstrom, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Zappos, Costco, TJ Maxx, etc. Oversaw production and import of 600K units annually, generating $10M in sales per year.

Hired as the 3rd member of management team to support company’s growth from a start-up organization. Spearheaded production coordination & retail operation systems to improve profits and grow sales.
Expanded retail business through company owned locations and license agreement partnerships. Grew business from a $500K per year start-up to a $7M per year company in 3 years.
Oversaw move of corporate offices and operations from GA to CA, including design, product development and distribution. Hired and trained team of over 35 new employees.
Helped launch a direct mail order catalog division. Oversaw growth from start-up to over $16M in sales annually in just 6 years. Coordinated timely production & purchasing of product and all operations of business generated from mailing up to 5M catalogs annually.
Conceived and lead initiative to secure a financing relationship with largest supplier to enable growth. After 2 years, secured our own large line of credit directly with bank.
