Key Accomplishments:

Automation of the entire HR function; benefits, applications, workers compensation, disciplines, EEO information, salary changes, history & leave tracking utilizing ADP, Pay Expert and HR-Benefits Solutions.

Transitioning the benefits to the Employee Insurance Program (SC State Health Plan) which saved the organization over $80k the first year while adding LTD, SLTD, LTC and retiree coverage as well as additional health plan options.

Initiated and oversaw the salary compensation study (changes hadn’t occurred since 2001).

Coordinated the transition to outsourcing the I.T. department in order to upgrade software and hardware to industry standard.

Partnered with our attorney, senior staff and the City of Charleston Human Resource Department to revise the employee handbook. (last revised 2001)

Revision of applicant testing procedure for our clerical positions. Created a test that would display

applicants’ level of familiarity with Microsoft office software (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
