Chest Pain Committee: Serve as co-chair. Worked with CNO, EMS and other departments’ directors on improving the care of STEMI patients. Assisted the hospital in obtaining Cycle IV Accreditation.
Chair of the Emergency Preparedness Committee. Developed disaster policies and procedures. Standardized the hospital disaster recall system, department reporting procedures and ICC notification for hospital leaders. Coordinated with SETTRAC to provide hazmat training and patient evacuation education to hospital employees.
Fostered teamwork approach and staff engagement. Patient satisfaction as a result increased (Gallop) from 3.0 to 3.6 and later plateaued to 3.45 (4.0 is a perfect score).
2010-2011: Director of Pearland and Alvin Free Standing EDs. Responsible for 28 FTEs and overseeing the daily operations which included staff management, quality assurance, JCAHO ready preparation, financial, and patient-care monitoring. The Free Standing EDs saw a total of 25,000 patient/year.
2009-2010: Director of the Chest Pain Observation Unit. Responsible for 30 FTEs and overseeing the daily operations of Cardiovascular Services, which included staff management.
