Currently, I’m working with BMS Films as their lead contract Creative Director. Carving out the associated project briefs along with facilitating the creative vision through such venues as mood boards, and or complete storyboards

if necessary. Working closely with the brand managers, writers and production staff to assure proper alignment relative to the creative brief objective and client expectations. Refining proper protocols, troubleshooting practical solutions to creative drawbacks, while simultaneously monitoring financial procurement in order to create a well-executed, dynamic brand message. Engaging in story telling methods that achieve strategic expectations. As an accomplished professional, I’m able to see the broader picture and co-ordinate effectively.

Co-lead creative and strategy on all agency accounts. However, my main creative responsibility is for VERTEX Pharmaceutical, a unique Cystic Fibrosis product. The largest account in the firm.

Annual billings of 7+ million.

As a key, senior member of the management team, I help develop and drive our strategic direction.

Directed creative collaboration across studios to ensure all staff, deliverables and work products benefit from the advancements, leading practices, process improvements, and philosophies.

Co-lead in marketing trends, customer behavioral science, and the role that digital capabilities play.

Ensure that lead creative staff are managing financial aspects of client relationships including compliance to contracts/agreements, forecasts, estimates, recording time, and billings.

Co-lead creative joint venture BMS/sanofi aventis pitch for Avapro/Avalide hypertension account. 7 years later,

it remained our largest and healthiest account.

Annual billings of 4+ million. During Client/Agency annual reviews, the AVA creative team continually received highest honors for creativity, quality of work, and service.

Proven ability to develop strategically relevant and compelling creative campaigns, as well as insightful positioning and messaging platforms.

In 2006, 2007, and in 2011, I was honored with The IPG Chairman’s Award for Outstanding Growth,

Signature Healthcare Designs Inc., Independently owned marketing, and creative services

Independent creative management and consultation service. Primary client, Pharmacia (eventually was acquired by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals).

Pharmacia’s business initiative was to bring in house and promote their mid cap products via a small group of experienced healthcare advertising professionals, working directly with the individual brand teams. Products included many of their lead oncology brands.

Other SHD clients included: Stryker Howmedica Osteonics (Trident, multi-bearing acetabular system).

Gillespie (Healthcare DTC): Primary creative lead for the Aciphex (acid reflux) DTC account for Janssen. Designed and executed primary (unique underwater) campaign.

1999-2001 Executive Vice President, Director of Creative Services

JL Shapiro Associates Inc.

Assisted JLS in breaking out of a client perceived medical communication agency in academia only, and into a more lucrative promotional communications ad agency. Promotional campaigns included Singulair, Int’l markets (treatment of asthma or seasonal allergy symptoms), and Aggrastat (treatment of acute coronary syndrome).

1997-1999 Sr. Vice President, Director of Creative Services

Equitable partner, leading and managing a staff of art directors, writers, editors/proofreaders, studio,

print production coordinators and multimedia.

Collaborated directly with SMC’s CFO, and President regarding company strategies, revenue and profits.

Strategically/Creatively supported sister company in Denver Colorado.

Harrison Wilson & Associates, Omnicom Group of Companies Worldwide

Participated in the start of the NJ spin-off agency to parent company, Harrison, Star, based in NYC. Original NJ

staff consisted of 8 employees, including myself specifically hired to start this satellite company. 3 1/2 years later,

and with many account wins, the agency grew to a staff of 175. Lead and managed art directors, studio, print production coordinators, along with starting our state of art digital multimedia group.
