RAI – Plano, Texas, 1990 – Present Lead Information Technology Specialist Manager – Contract

Office 365 Program Lead – PMO Planning & Design Lead

University of Texas – Arlington, TX 11/2017 – Current

University of Texas, Arlington is a premier upper education institution in Texas with a global student enrollment of 57,000. Under new leadership the Office of Information Technology, OIT, has begun an initiative to implement a world class PMO. I have been assigned to lead this effort with the planning and design of this function based on my many years of experience working with many PMO’s around the world. The university also has an aggressive Office 365 migration requirement and I have been assigned the program lead to design and direct the projects in the program.

Reporting to the Assistant VP of IT, I work with other staff members to organize teams, develop strategies, identify work deliverables, document processes and assign responsibilities to complete work

Risk Officer – ERP Project Recovery Specialist – Sr. PM Contract

EnerCare (Toronto, Canada)/Service Experts (Plano, TX) – 2/2017 – 10/2017

EnerCare acquired Service Experts who was 2+ years in the process of implementing an integrated ERP system with a lot of problems.

Served as Risk Officer to independently study, assess, identify, weigh and score risk characteristics for an ERP implementation that had seriously exceeded the budget and corresponding schedule. Under the authority of the enterprises Executive Steering Committee, I did a thorough and broad review of documentation, project plans, vendor contracts, work plans, management reports and basic project leadership communications. I prepared and presented to the Executive Steering Committee of the BOD a detail report documenting my findings and supporting my specific recommendations.

Served as a Recovery Specialist. I was tasked with leading a recovery effort of the 2+year initiative to reestablish the project on an executable trajectory for completion. I prepared a budget and timeline that was defendable and independent – no agendas. The Board of Directors of the Service Expert’s Parent Company, EnerCare, decided, with my full support and encouragement, to canceled the Service Expert ERP project and satisfy their ERP requirements by including them on the Parent’s ERP initiative.

Key Accomplishments:

• Independently identified and analyzed key components of the project that required alignment for a successful and complete implementation. Understanding project management, project development and execution I completed a detailed assessment of internal and external stake holder responsibilities and contributions. I quickly identified the perceived value vs the real value each brought to the project and considered their risk.

• Assessed the project Risk following ‘Best Practice’ understandings of ERP implementations and project management.

• Created an effective and strategically important report with supporting detail for supporting leaderships decisions with informed and accurate information.
