Compression Behavior of 3D Printed Materials with Spherical Pores 05/2017 to 08/2017 Graduate Research Student - Wright State University

Chose the design and fabrication material as acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).

Studied the energy absorption of ABS structures with spherical pores of different sizes.

Three different pore sizes samples designed in SolidWorks considered to fabricate using MakerBot Replicator 2X Printer and all samples tested in compression and load displacement behavior investigated. Verification of the compression results done on ANSYS. Reliability analysis on unit cell of a structural lattice 01/2016 to 04/2016 Graduate Student - Wright State University

Designed a unit cell in SolidWorks and utilized performance of Monte-Carlo Simulation linking it with the ANSYS simulation eventually finding the probability of failure.

For validation process, Hasofer Lind Rackwitz & Fiessler method used linking it with the ANSYS simulation getting the probability of failure. Modal Analysis of an Airfoil 08/2017 to 12/2017

Modeling of Airfoil NACA-65A-004 surface in MATLAB to create grid points.

Airfoil was used to find mode shapes using ANSYS software. Validating the results by comparing it with experimental results. The Joukowski Airfoil 08/2017 to 12/2017

Conducted the study to generate a Joukowski airfoil, to calculate and plot coefficient of pressure and coefficient of lift and also to generate a new airfoil by changing the value of parameters of a circle.

Using Matlab code a Joukowski Airfoil was generated with the help of Joukowski transformation. The coefficient of pressure calculated on the surface of generated airfoil and coefficient of lift CL calculated for the whole airfoil with the specific angle of attack

The new airfoil generated by modifying its parameters so that to know which airfoil has better performance in terms of lift coefficient. Static analysis of a bracket 08/2015 to 12/2015

The achieved goal includes deflection and bending stress of a bracket using finite element analysis including ANSYS software.

Designed the model in SolidWorks and analyzed in ANSYS. The results validated on ANSYS workbench.
