Industrial Monitoring Technician

City of Lima 2005 - PRESENT

● Independently collect industrial samples

● Managing schedule and equipment, from 30+ customers i.e. PepsiCo, Joint Systems Manufacturing Center, Proctor & Gamble and Ford Motor Company

● Analyze samples for strength of pollutants leads to a billing number for the industry.

● Testing include pH, Oxygen depletion (both BOD & COD), solids & ammonia concentration.

● Collaborated with the Pretreatment Supervisor in management of the Pretreatment Program.

● Trained the most recent supervisor in pretreatment collection.

● Run daily tests on in-plant samples and record results in our OP10 plant computer system.

● Collaborate with plant management on digester feed rate control.

● Completed volatile acid & alkalinity tests on digester samples.

● Job shadowed the Operator in plant operation and in the use of the computer control system to maintain total plant performance.

● Assist with overflow sample collection of the sewer system at request of the Off-Shift Operator which monitors the sewer systems effect on the environment.

● I began in the lab testing concrete and mortar specimens, from many different construction sites, for ultimate strength.

● Soil specimens were tested for characteristics, the results used by engineers for building advisement.

● Performed concrete slump tests.

● Completed soil compaction tests granting construction personnel permission to add the next layer of soil.

● Mold casting tech of aluminum automotive suspension parts.

● In 1989, I became Unit 1 nuclear engineering lead. During next 2 fuel cycles, Unit 1 attained record runs at full power.

● Performed core power density tests throughout core life and end of life power ramp down guidance.

● Engineering procedure development for startup and ramp up to full power.

● Coordinated with various other groups to meet safety and stay at power requirements.

● Coordinated storage of spent fuel during scheduled plant shutdown.
