Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Chemical Engineering

Skills

Software Skills - C, MATLAB, POLYMATH, E-DEM, Microsoft Office Suite, Minitab

Equipment Skills – HPLC, GC, Micro XRF Analyzer- Horiba, LS 13 320 Beckman Particle Size Analyzer, FT4 Powder Rheometer, FETTE-1200, Dissolution Apparatus, NIR. Experience

ERC for Structured Organic Particulate Systems (C-SOPS) August 2017-Present

Developing Weight Variability model of tablets of different formulations-

Made blends of several materials to obtain specific material properties (Bulk Density, Cohesion).

Tablets were made using FETTE-1200 Tablet Press for different Process parameters (Turret speed, Feed frame speed & Tablet Filling depth).

Tablets were weighed to examine the weight variability (RSD) of each batch & Response surface methodology is used to create a model using Minitab for the design space.

Feeder performance for Cohesive and free flowing materials-

Analyzed the feeder performance of 5 cohesive & non-cohesive materials on the K-tron MT12 feeder.

Determined feeder performances using Relative Standard Deviation & Relative Deviation from mean.

Examined the flow properties of the materials from the data collected to aid in the formulation of pharmaceuticals through a continuous manufacturing process.

Developing a Hardness model of tablets of different formulations-

Made blends of several materials & the tablets were made using Tablet Prester for different Process parameters

(Pre-compression position, Compression position & Dwell Time).

Tablets were characterized for the hardness, thickness, weight & non linear regression analysis is done to create a hardness model using Minitab for the design space.

Rutgers Catalyst Manufacturing Science and Engineering Consortium (CMSEC) April 2017 – Present

Catalyst Consortium Companies- Exxon-Mobil, Grace, Evonik, BASF, Albemarle, Clariant, Sabic, Haldor Topsoe, Euro Support Manufacturing, Powder Processing & Technology

Worked extensively on the ‘Scale-up of Cylindrical Blenders for Dry Impregnation Studies on Granular Porous Catalyst Supports'.

Worked on Multi-stage Impregnation for different Nozzles Configurations, Flow rate, RPM, Fill level to maximize the uniformity of the final granular product (Lowest RSD).

Finding a co-relation between Axial Mixing & Dispersion vs. different granular particles morphologies.

Calculated Axial Dispersion and Mixing of granular materials in cylindrical & double cone blenders by experiments.

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Mathura Refinery, India) Position – Intern Jan 2014

Studied operations of distillation and liquid-liquid extraction processes in heavy distillate section of refinery.

Acquired knowledge of how different units work in integration, quality control department and role of R&D.

Calculated efficiency of Recycle gas heater by evaluating various heat losses in a plant. Triveni Engineering & Industries, (Muzaffarnagar, India) Position - Intern Feb-March 2014

Studied and evaluate various design parameters for the optimal efficiency of the digester.

Suggested mathematical anaerobic digestion model for the plant by reviewing previous research papers.

Assigned to the project: “Design of digester for Anaerobic Digestion of Vinasse”, with the aim to produce methane to optimize energy demand of the plant.

Projects

Production and Optimization of Biodiesel from Sunflower Seeds Aug 14-May15

Studied various available literature processes and patents for the process selection.

Conducted solvent extraction process by trans-esterification reaction followed by parameters optimization.

Central composite design (CCD) was employed to evaluate the effect of reaction parameter to yield of biodiesel.
