§ Responsible for ticket assignment from single to multiple user’s incidents based on priority and criticality.

§ Monitor the incidents to ensure that the Service Level Agreement are respected

HCL Technologies (May 2015 to July 2016)

Control – M (Version 8.0):

• Control M is the standard batch scheduling tool. Which schedules for each application are created daily during what is known as the “New Day Process”.

• This process runs at different times on different servers depending on its location.

• Working on Control – M batch scheduling tool, creating and modifying jobs in production and quality environment with working on control-m database.

• Determining user job requirement and helping them create job Schedule.

• Providing 1st and 2nd level support like new job creation, scheduling, Deletion, Order out. Killing jobs and manually ordering out of jobs.

• Maintaining VERITAS net backup environment, with master and client server, creating backup policy and giving backup schedules.

HP Open View Operations (Version 8):

• Monitoring ‘N’ number of server alerts using HP Open view operation and raising incidents accordingly. Trouble shooting some issues like OM agent related issue, service stopped issue etc.,

OVO reports:

• This report is for the number of alerts that we have received for that particular month in OVO which in-turn will help us to track the number of valid alerts and duplicate alerts that we have received. This will help us to optimize that alerts flow.

Tickets Handling Using Remedy and Service Now:

• As per the process High priority needs to be given for T1 to T5 SR’s and CR’s. And the work needs to be completed before the stipulated SLA.

• Assigning TT’s with the appropriate severity to the application team as per the alerts that we receive through HP OVO.

• Handling the TT’s, SR’s and CR’s assigned to Our team and following it up with proper updates and informing the customer every now and then about the status.

• Placing the Tickets in proper status when we are following up for Media’s, restore location, or with the customer for any additional information.

• Apart from this some Quality and Development servers too are backed up.

• Exclusive monitoring of the backups for Windows servers of various geographical locations belonging to the Domain.

• Triggering backups on adhoc requests and working on SR’s and CR’s related to backups in the stipulated time. .

• Identifying the Medias required for performing restores, ordering the Medias from Iron Mountain as per the requirement of the customer likely ranging from Emergency to Ordinary shipments.

• Media management in each backup servers which includes checking for enough number of medias in each Pool, moving medias from scratch pool at times of requirement to the other pools.
