Duties and Responsibility :

( Liaison Officer)

Company authorized representative for TESDA, PRC Endorsement,Marina.

Liaises with POEA for contract processing and releasing.

Encodes and monitors validity of OEC.

Facilitates individual NAC of crew ashore.

Prepares relevant documents and enrolls newly acquired vessels to POEA.

Prepares contract for in-house processing except for seafarers applying for visas of countries that do not allow this.

Execute with Immigration Office regarding embarkation and disembarkation of crew.

Transact foreign visitor’s extension visa.

(Crewing and Recruitment Officer)

Monitor incoming messages relating to designating ships and reply promptly in a courteous manner.

Monitor and assist in keeping the crew plans, contingency plan updated at all times

Encodes all necessary new data into the OCS as soon as possible to keep it updated at all times.

Attends to disembarked crew in accordance with post-embarkation procedure.

Monitors that crew called upon processing is reporting availability and performance of crew when pooled.

Process crew for pre-embarkation as per procedures.

Verifies that only qualified and medical fit seafarers are returned to the pool as per crew relief and planning.

In-charge of recruitment of officers and ratings needed by the company.

Generate record as well as the short and long term plan of the seafarers.

Maintain record of potential recruitment (outsourced and walk-ins) and periodically report status / trends.

Check documents of new applicants and conduct background inquiry.

Arrange interview of applicants.

Be updated on the requirements for National Licenses, Certificates of Competency, and other crew qualification documents. Notify crew to apply for upgrade for the same as appropriate. Collate and report status/results.

Responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities related to the recruiting and personnel functions for the vessels.

Align with finance and hr required regular reports, concerning salary, contract attendance sheets and vacation schedules,etc.

Plan organize and manage the day to day crewing personnel functions in compliance w/hr policies and procedures.

Manage the process of personnel mobilization and demobilization (Travel arrangement,visa, hotel accommodations etc.)

Perform crew change for vessel assigned, including crew planning procedures are disseminated and complied by all employees.

Manage smooth logistics arrangement for incoming and outgoing crew.

Coordinate directly with operation and HR for personnel,Government and logistic matters, medical claims, repatration of crew, etc.

(Terminal Manager)

Effectively manage and control cost in all shifts on a duly basis.

Conduct and lead Team Operations meeting and make sense out of that activity by resolving issues and making sure that all operations problems are resolved to the satisfaction of the port users.

Foster Harmonious relationship with all the port users/clients and other Governmental agencies establish solid customers satisfaction.

Secure passengers and their luggage’s while inside PTB Terminal.

Make available for use at all times standard amenities required by passengers for safe and comfortable travel.

Ensure all PTB Terminal amenities including facilities are properly maintained for passenger use.

Motivate support and harness the entire Operations Team towards the goals and objectives of the Company’s Vision.

Manage and coordinate the daily allocation of work force and equipment making sure that these requirements are sufficient to serve the activities in all the areas in the terminal.

Manage the cost control measures and making sure that those measures are implemented and in line with approved budget.

Ensure and manage all report needed by the operation, finance and alike by generating such reports promptly as required by the Management.

Assist the VP-Port and Terminal Operations in the preparation of the annual budget for operations.

Be familiar with PPA – Phil harbor contract agreement and be able to comply and abide by the requirements with the contract.

Performs other official functions which may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.

(Port Operations Manager )

Port Operations Manager – managing vessel discharging the port operations plans where ship are berth and the number of port operations required to unload its safety and to time they brief the port supervisor, who then supervise in getting the work done.

Managing safety – ports can be dangerous places in which to works are its normally the responsibility of the port operations manager to ensure all working areas and that port operatives are fully trained to do jobs efficiently and safety.

Port operations manager is likely to liaise with other port users such a freight customers. Shipping agent,customs, immigration, Harbour Authority and ship agent.

Port Operations manager can be a progression from a supervisor of port operations, particular stevedoring, or general operations.

Communicating with charterers brokers,agent and vessels regarding voyage orders and vessels itineraries.

Liaising with technical managers for vetting clearance / approvals or other operational issues.
