MECHANICAL ENGINEERING INTERN FRESENIUS MEDICAL CARE NORTH AMERICA 01/2018 – PRESENT

• Representing Manufacturing Engineering in Product Design and development to ensure processes and designs are compatible

(design for manufacture and is integrated in the Design Transfer Process)

• Assisting with developing new or modified existing process, defines processing equipment requirements and specifications, and reviews processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacturing process.

• Working with Product Development teams to concurrently evaluate and create new or update existing designs (Software used are AUTOCAD AND SOLIDWORKS) for manufacturability, reliability and testability of new products based on modern manufacturing requirements and guidelines.

• Helping the Quality Assurance team to ensure appropriate manufacture /fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies within the supply base. Ensuring the effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.

• Studying equipment performance /reliability and establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Maintaining the current records on equipment manufacturer’s technical notices, upgrades and safety issues.

MECHANICAL DESIGN INTERN SEKKEI SOLUTIONS INDIA 12/2015 – 07/2016

• Generated 3D parametric design of jigs and fixtures using SOLIDWORKS 17.2 for automotive clients (Toyota, Nissan and Mitsubishi).

• Generated 2D manufacturing drawing as per customer specifications.

• Created and maintained 3D models, assemblies, BOM creation, ECO management, and MRP assembly and part maintenance and production drawings using SOLIDWORKS 17.2.

• Conducted FEA (Finite Element Analysis) of basic parts to complex assemblies QUALITY ENGINEER AADEERAJ ENGINEERING INDIA 06/2014 – 04/2015

• Assisted in the customer service feedback process as the quality point of contact.

• Communicated project status with written weekly reports to the supervisor.

• Participated in additional duties as required by the supervisor.

• Negotiated purchasing and Coordinated with customers and suppliers for delivery dates, quality and quantity of motors to plan the inventory levels.

• Coordinated tasks and developed strategies to meet goals on time. KEY PROJECTS

STRESS ANALYSIS OF ALUMINIUM PLATE

• Course work project to calculate maximum stress in an aluminum plate by analyzing using FEM by applying tensile force.

• The force is then converted into equivalent pressure to compare changes in result.

• Computed the maximum stress in the direction of the loading as well as the displacement of the loaded edge.

• Compared the stress results obtained using a coarse mesh and a fine mesh as well as with theoretical results. STUDY OF 2-DIMENSIONAL HEAT TRANSFER FROM THE WALL OF PARALLEL PLATE PIPE

• Generated MATLAB Code to calculate temperature variation between two insulated parallel plates having air flow at a velocity which is function of length of pipe.

• Calculated temperature distribution for the plates with different heat rate using MATLAB code to generate distribution graph with respect to length

• Calculated heat flux for each site when wall is at constant temperature. NATURAL FREQUENCY (MODAL) ANALYSIS OF ROTOR/SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

• Created a Rotor Assembly with specified dimensions in SOLIDWORKS and imported to ANSYS 17.2.

• Generated Meshing and Contact Pairing between wheel and rack.

• Calculated natural frequencies using Finite Element Method for specific number of modes.

• Calculated and compared mode shape results for different meshing techniques. EXPERIMENTAL ANALYSIS OF VARIOUS PARAMETERS HYDRAM

• Hydraulic Ram pumps the water or fluid from lower head to higher head without any conventional energy resources.

• Parameters like efficiency, power and work input output where analyzed and compared to conventional pumps.

• 3D CAD Modelling of Hydram was done using CREO 2.0 and Structural analysis was done using ANSYS 15.
