Job Description:

●Overall administration of Pipeline Engineering group

●Ensure that all Piping / Pipeline Engineers work to project procedures, specifications and standards, good engineering practices and techniques, and any project-specific requirements

●Act as single point interface between Piping / Pipeline Group, project design and engineering services and oversee & review Piping / Pipeline work executed in other offices.

●Participate in local Hazard and Operability (HAZOP)

●Participate in key customer reviews and meetings as required

●Participate in value engineering and value improvement workshops with customer.

●Provide input to Piping Manager regarding Piping / Pipeline Engineering procedures and work practices as appropriate

●Develop close working relationships between all engineering group members, Project Managers, projects team and EPC staff to ensure a consistent approach and effective resolution of issues

●Participate in the Pipeline Route study during the project Front End Design.

●Reviewing the drawings prepared by the engineers (i.e. Plot Plan, General Arrangements, Isometrics, Alignment Sheets, Crossing Details (Open Cut, HDD, Thrust boring), Hydrostatic Diagrams, Pipeline Schematic Diagram, etc.)

●Preparing PDI (Population Density Index) Report, Class Location and block valve stations.

●Performing and reviewing the stress analysis.

●Reviewing the Calculations prepared by the engineers (i.e. Highway crossing, W. THK, Buoyancy calc., Elastic bend cal., Upheaval Buckling, Hot tap calc. etc.).

●Reviewing the Piping Specification, Valve Data Sheets, MTO, Material Requisitions and Vendor Drawings.

●Reviewing the 3D Model prepared by the designers and efficient in using PDMS

●Provide resolutions for the site queries raised by the EPC CONTRACTOR.

●Provide Man-hours estimation for the projects in proposal stage.

●Controlling the project budget by preparing the proper staffing plan, providing the project weekly progress and issuing the design change notice to the project manager.

●Maintaining the company Quality Procedure (Reviewing the Deliverables, Attending ABR and Package Check).


●Master Gas Loop-1 (EWG-2)- CAT

Project Brief: Detailed design for EWG-2 56”, 600#, 310 KM from KM-916 to EWPS#7 and from EWPS#11 to Yanbu with all associated facilities scrapers, Mainline Valve Stations and Burn Pits.

●Oily Water Disposal System-JGC

Project Brief: Conceptual and detailed design for 6” RTR Pipeline, 150#, 15KM from Al-Mu’ajiz Terminal (AMT) to Marafiq Pipeline.

●14” Fuel gas Pipeline- ARAMCO

Project Brief: Conceptual and detailed design for 14”, 600#, 1.5 KM from HUG-1 Pipeline to Hawiyah Gas Plant (HGP) with all associated facilities Scarper Launcher/ Receiver and Burn Pit.
