-Worked with image processing using a program called ImageJ as well as creating new methods to analyze the images through Matlab and Java to sort, count and obtain data from the cells given in the image.

-Applied to sickle-cell disease to determine the progression of the disease based on the number of cells found and the characteristics of such cells such as their circularity which ranges from 0 (infinitely elongated polygon) to 1 (perfect circle).

MIM Software Inc. - Software Engineer Intern May 2014– August 2014

-Worked with a large amount of pre-written code, identifying and fixing bugs through reading through and understanding the code, leading to rewriting or adding/removing of code.

-Worked with a team of people ranging from 3 to 10 with daily meetings to discuss our progress on tasks.

-Updated, debugged and created new code for their main product, varying from 3D analyzation of x-ray slices to UI bug fixes.

-Learned Ruby on Rails/HTML/CSS/Javascript applying it to maintain company internal website with a small team of 3 people.

-Developing an iOS app to save blood sugars and modified existing algorithms to create blood sugar trends.

-Competed in numerous startup competitions winning $1000.
