I am a Mechanical Engineer (B-Tech), BOE (Boiler Operation Engineering), ISO 14001 internal auditor & have proved my worth in the Industry with my experience & exposure in diversified fields for about 28 years in thermal power plants of different industries like sugar, distillery, cement (Century cement a B.K.Birla group), Tata Sponge Iron Ltd (9.5 years), Monnet Ispat & Energy Limited, Bhushan Steel Ltd. and now at SMIPL as AVP Power plant at Orissa.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Planning: Formation of annual business plan of power division. Annual shut-down planning of TG sets and Boilers with coordination to Director of Boilers as per IBR requirements. Job planning, man power planning and training needs in the department.

Project activity: Erection & Commissioning of 7.5 MW, 18.5 MW & 45 MW (At Adhunik) power plants. Erection & commissioning of 2x8MW Turbo blower and 1x2.7 MW (TRT) gas turbine at Integrated steel plant at Monnet Ispat & energy ltd.raigarh.CG.1*110 MW BHEL STG with WHRB / CFBC boiler at Bhushan Steel ltd. Orissa.

Process activities: Operational control for 7.5MM, 18.5MW, 2*17 MW, 2*45MW and 1*80 MW power plant to achieve ABP target of power generation and Maximum power export through well planned & continuous improvement in the system, by taking immediate corrective and preventive actions of all break downs and failures. Operation controls and maintenance of BOP & BTG with "Daily Management" concept of TBEM. My core competency is, use of Dolo Char (Waste product from DRI) in AFBC and CFBC boilers.

TPM Activities: Analysis of Breakdowns (Chronic / Sporadic), Maintenance Cost, Design Modification for better performance, Standardization of procedures and systems, Kaizen Making etc.

Core Competency: My Core competency is utilisation of DOLO CHAR (By product of DRI Process) in AFBC and CFBC boilers to reduce power cost.
