Performed depot and intermediate level maintenance on LM 2500 and Alison 501K-17 Gas Turbine Engines including power turbine inspections, change-out of the gas generator and power turbine sections, can change-out, blade change-out and trim balancing.
Operated and maintained the electrical plant control console, propulsion plant control console, fuel oil transfer and ballast console, damage control console, auxiliary systems control console, ship’s control console, local operating panel, power supply signal conditioners and electrical distribution switchboards.
Attended LM 2500 & Alison 501k-17 overhaul and rebuild school.
Performed maintenance and repair on ships main propulsion and electrical distribution system.
Performed corrective maintenance ALCO 251 diesel engines and ALCO 251E service generators.
Trained personnel in the operation and casualty control procedures of the propulsion plant.
