Optimizing weighbridge operation using six sigma methodology

• Analyzed time required to weigh trucks on a weigh bridge using Minitab and recognized out of control points to improve the process.

• Performed root cause analysis for out of control points and recommended the solutions to achieve the reduced weigh times and throughput of weighbridge.

Optimization of the production of gasoline blend components through the HF acid alkylation of olefins and isobutene

• Estimated optimum blend of hydrocarbons used in alkylation process for production of olefins and isobutene.

• Formulated a model with objective of maximum profit from the unit and solved for decision variables to obtain the optimum product mix using MS Excel solver package.
