Dear Human Resources Department:

I am responding to the position currently available in your organization. This position sparked my interest as an opportunity to contribute to your corporation’s growth, using my education and expertise in contract management. The following highlights my background as it may apply to your needs:

Financial Analysis & Contract Management:

My background includes 14+ years of experience analyzing finances within multi-million dollar companies while managing multiple contracts in SAP, Word, and Excel. Handling AP/AR Accounting, reviewing COR’s and reporting, CIP and Expense Budgeting. I have trained employees to accurately complete all accounting processes while analyzing their work for accuracy and efficiency. I currently write contract requirements with City, State, and Federal policies, ordinances, and regulations. I interpret contract provisions and enforcing penalties and compliance terms, while resolving discrepancies in contracts. I conduct pre-proposal meetings and RFP’s, RFQ’s, and IFB’s. Developing scopes of work for over 750 contracts per year and maintaining all amendments. Handling bid protests, cure letters, and vendor related issues. I am prompt, punctual, accurate, and analytical. I have reviewed every contract in the Aviation (Facilities and Services) and Water Department to ensure accuracy of the contract as well as accuracy of the SAP invoicing, finding several invoices which were inaccurately tied to the wrong contract or no contract, and coordinating with others to correct these issues in the new e-Procurement.

I have managed contracts worth up to $650M, communicating requirements across departments to meet deadlines.

I am certified in Six Sigma Lean and Green Belt and contract management and have practical experience with application of these principles. I am currently enrolled in Six Sigma Black Belt courses.
