Operational Manager

Direct and coordinate the operations and to make quick and accurate decisions.

Requiring a lot of attention and dedication in order to appropriately carry out all the duties associated with it. Interview, hire and train new employees or to monitor the personnel put in place to hire new staff. Prepares work schedules for the staff by assigning duties, or he oversees the personnel put in place to assign such duties.

Regularly audits the performance of the staff by reviewing activity and sales report or other performance data in order evaluate the level of productivity and to determine areas that need improvement.

Ensures that the staff abides by the goals and objectives of their respective departments, monitors the Cash flow in order to ensure that requests to and from the accounting department are resolved in an expeditious manner and determines employee’s benefits and bonuses.

Evaluates the market in order to determine the demand for the products or services, determines the popular items and plans sales or other forms of promotions for the less popular items in order to boost sales in conjunction with other department heads.

Reviews financial statements and oversees the finances and budget of the organization in order to fund operations and increase efficiency, which will consequently lead to an increase in productivity and returns.

Coordinates all departments in the organization. Coordination includes meeting with department heads to coordinate the activities of all departments in the operation of the business. These might include sales, production, purchasing and materials.

• Ensure that their payroll is done on a weekly basis and correct all necessary errors that may occur.

• Ensured proper data entry of receiving tickets inventory system, maintained purchase order system with receipts information and corrected errors in receiving of material. Coordinated with various vendors of material purchases up to $20 million yearly.

• Coordinated Customer Return Materials (RMA). Tracked RMA from point of return to disposition. Tracked all defective material (DMR), placing them in a special location until disposition was made.

• Inventory control using negative balance sheets and inventory balance variances to coordinate cycle counting and reconciliation. Assisted Accounts Payable with invoice reconciliation; assisted Cost Analyst in reconciling material usage periodically.

• Coordinated maintenance of work orders for outside vendors. Received material and reconcile work orders with purchasing. Assisted Purchasing Agent in cases of discrepancies with material received from outside suppliers.

• Assisted Materials Manager in making sure labor and inventory transactions were checked and executed all necessary corrections to the production and monitory control systems.

• Maintained inventory accuracy. Ensured that all procedures were followed; maintained and reconciled inventory count discrepancies; assisted with the supervision and direction of stock keepers.

• Assisted production supervisor in his absence; made certain that work orders were correct and material usage were reported on a timely basis and labor done accurately.
