Related Companies and Oxford Properties Group Hudson Yard – Electrical Construction Manager/Superintendent

Oversaw subcontractors work for the construction of a cogeneration plant, uninterruptible power supply, stand-by generator system, medium-voltage utility vaults, fire alarm system, first responder system, site wide loop and

building management system at the Hudson Yards development on the West Side of Manhattan. Moreover, responsibilities included aiding in procurement and preconstruction services.

United Nations Capital Master Plan – Electrical Construction Manager/Sr Electrical Estimator (2008 to 2011)

Estimated, managed and coordinated the procurement for the electrical portion of the $1.4 billion phased renovation and refurbishment of the historic United Nations headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. The complex consists of approximately 2.6 million sf in six separate buildings. The project involved the construction of a temporary facility to house the client and conference facilities, as well as off-site leased spaces. Additionally, tasked with the construction of four 2.5-MW standby generators, two 1-MW uninterruptible power supply units, Data Center (construction and relocation), paralleling gear, unit substations and switchgear, two multi-compartment Con Edison vaults, the chilled water system, new cooling towers, a temporary chiller plant, the campus-wide fire alarm system, telecommunication infrastructure, an IT hot aisle containment center, and the campus-wide building management system.

MTACC/NYC Transit No. 7 Subway Line Extension – Electrical Construction Manager (2011 to 2015)

Supervised electrical contracting work for the 34th Street-Hudson Yards station and four new fan plant buildings as part of the $2.2 billion extension of the No. 7 subway line in Manhattan from Times Square to West 34th Street and Eleventh Avenue. Features of work managed for the MTA Capital Construction (MTACC)/NYC Transit project included the station’s elevators and escalators; FA, CCTV, PA, customer information signage, transmission backbone system, SCADA, building management system (BMS), mist pump fire protection, and private mobile radio systems; six 300-hp fans and two 150-hp fans, variable frequency drives, six chiller units, 15-kV switchgear, and distribution boards.

St Barnabas Hospital – Senior Electrical Estimator

Estimated and presented cost for upgrades to various systems and rooms: electric service equipment upgrades; a new MRI machine and control room; a new patient recovery room; a morgue; wiring of various new HVAC equipment; a new clean room and medicine dispensary; and new lighting and controls in various areas. Located in the Bronx area this job was scheduled to span over some 2 or more years. This was an effort by the owner to both update and broaden the service provided by the hospital.

Brooklyn Bridge Park – Senior Electrical Estimator

Estimated and assisted in procurement for Brooklyn Bridge Park, a $360 million park, developed along 85 acres on the Brooklyn side of East River in New York City, which included facilities – to name a few – for basketball, soccer, tennis, bocce, athletic fields and fitness areas.

NYCSCA CM Services – Electrical Construction Manager

Responsibilities included managing the installation of, assisting in the estimating department, coordinating the work with the various school principals, and working closely with the assigned PM(s) from the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA). The work was done in various boroughs of New York City and included FA upgrades, augmentation to and/or installation of security camera systems. With a crew of roughly 40 men, this work was scheduled to be started and completed in less than a year.

Manhattan School of Music Studios – Electrical Construction Manager/Chief Estimator

Responsible for estimating and contracting services for the construction of two new state-of-the-art music studios at the Manhattan School of Music on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. The project scope included the installation of stage lighting, concert hall lighting, and general building lighting, as well as the studio sound systems.

Theory Headquarters – Electrical Project Manager/Chief Estimator

Estimated and managed the electrical construction of a $50 million, prestigious retail clothing store in Manhattan’s Meat Packing District. The scope of work included but was not limited to UPS (uninterruptable power supply), ATS, lighting control system, AHUs and lightning arrest or protection system.

North General Hospital – Electrical Construction Manager

Managed the upgrades and interacted with the client for a project, which was located in the East Harlem area of NYC and encompassed roughly 4,000 sq. feet of space: an emergency room area, which entailed upgrades to the head nurse stations and general lighting; an X-ray room to accommodate the installation of a new X-ray machine and control room, inclusive of new lighting and power; a new general supply storage area; and related corridor areas to support the aforementioned. Slated to last less than a year, these upgrades were primarily due to the Hospital’s effort to modernize various systems and areas.

Methodist Hospital – Electrical Foreman

Worked on the upgrades to various systems: electric service equipment upgrades, which included the replacement and addition electric panels and automatic transfer switches (ATS); the wiring and connections for newly installed HVAC (AHUs, etc.) equipment, along with associated control work (Johnson Controls). Located in the downtown area of Peoria, Illinois, this job was scheduled to last approximately 2 years. The Owner needed this work done to replace dilapidated equipment and systems in sprawling areas of the hospitals footprint.

General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport (PIA) – JW (journeyman wireman)

Worked on upgrades to the airport facilities in various areas: the work included everything from general maintenance to a larger job(s) of installing new runway/threshold lighting. PIA is a civil/military public airport five miles west of Peoria, in Peoria County, Illinois.
