EXPERIENCE
Rotating equipment Reliability Engineer, Since April 2015 FLOWSERVE, Lake City, FL, USA.
Worked with end user customers, to establish on-site reliability improvement practices for covered equipment. Supported eight different plants (Arboris and Kraton in Savannah, Symrise and Pinova in Brunswick, Symrise and IFF in Jacksonville, Nutrien in White spring and Kraton in Panama City). For all these accounts, I am responsible for continuously updating Flowstar.net (equipment management software/ Computerized maintenance management system) as necessary to monitor and evaluate the status of rotating equipment. I do oversee the mechanical seal conversion process, including measurement, design, delivery, installation and operation.
• Surveyed all my accounts equipment and managed the technical data on Flowstar (CMMS).
• Analyzed failed equipment, then provided written reports to the customers with recommendation
• Used six sigma tools and problem-solving skills to help with the bad actors for each plant
• Used PARETO, FMEA and Matrix XY to prioritize the recommendations implementation and showed MTBF increase quickly.
• Organized and ensured monthly bad actor meetings to maintain visibility and focus.
• Recommended solutions to the customer for better reliability and efficiency. Based on the ROI, some solutions saved the customer up to $1000000 including down time.
• Increased the MTBR by solving the top failures.
• Coordinated projects between the sales Engineer, our pump distributor and the customers
• Developed new seals designs using EIS (Engineering Information System)
• Quoted new seals and pumps for custom applications.
• Resized current pump using Affinity for better BEP and better reliability.
• Commissioned and supervised new installations.
• Trained mechanics, operators and engineers on pumps, seals and hydraulic systems.
• Developed a check-lists and procedures for my customers to increase the MTBR.
• Completed a yearly walkthrough audit for each plant and reported to the maintenance management.
• Developed and built a good teamwork with all customers representatives in my territory. Application Engineer, May 2013 to December 2014
FLOWSERVE, Trappes, France.
Integrated with sales team specialized in Hydraulics and Vacuum pumps, I supported field sales manager in order to grow system reliability and efficiency for our customers
• Analyzed specifications in coordination with sales manager
• Defined and developed technical solution on liquid or vacuum pumps in hydraulics systems, called SKID with different instrumentations
• Applied commercial quotations and technical offers with drawings, nomenclature and PID
“Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams”
• Negotiated with customers and subcontractors
• Developed schedules associated with plans and commands
• Prepared and monitored the overall plans and patterns for different projects and plants
• Controlled technical documents relating to customer orders or internal developments Adjunct Project Manager, May 2012 to March 2013
MGI Coutier, Romans sur Isère, France.
• Managed Pressurizing Modules and subsets of the SCR module, “Selective Catalytic Reduction”
• Collaborated with project team to ensure projects were completed as scheduled
• Pilot G8D Eight Disciplines Problem Solving, compared to Six Sigma
• Pilot QRQC “quick response quality control” Methods of problems resolution
• Organized Modifications, analyzed impact and Planned Actions
Created, updated, maintained, and reviewed CAD on CATIA V5 and other specification documentations linked to the modification
• Led validation for different components
• Optimized in cost reduction alternatives by identifying opportunities through analysis of specifications and alternative designs for the next SCR generation Manufacturing Engineer, Co-op, September 2011 to February 2012 GE Energy, Chonas l’Amballan and Belfort/Bourogne, France.
• Supervised the installation of MES “Manufacturing Execution System” at Chonas plant
• Trained and led 20 collaborators in the plant to use MES and new technology
• Coordinated project team with plants team to mitigate potential problems
• Tested all processing developed in the MES for the plant and reported analyses to manage further action
• Achieved different technical documents (range of process and quality) in connection with ISO 9001
• Directed different manufacturing projects for continuous quality improvement
SMED “Single Minute Exchange of Dies”
Invested 15000€ in process improvement with a gain of 100000€ approximately every year
Studied Production flow and defined solutions for optimization Maintenance Engineering Internship, February 2010 to July 2010 PSA, Sochaux, France.
• Managed TPM “Total Productive Maintenance” on two automotive assembly lines
• Analyzed accidents and machine failures with FMEA method “Failure Mode Effects Analysis”
• Defined and led a multidisciplinary team in weekly meeting to achieve the project effectively
• Planned the preventive maintenance in the CMMS “Computerized maintenance management system” and created range of maintenance for risky operations
• Improved production reliability by 10%, simplified maintenance and reduced serious Failure to 0%
