Environment: Most of my experience has been managing and supporting Large 24x7x365 Multi-Platform Data Centers. The environments have included IBM Mainframes, UNIX, Linux. Risc Processors & AS400 computers as well as Windows servers. I also have worked with EMC & IBM SAN hardware, STK Tape Libraries and Large Xerox Laser printers.

Currently my responsibilities include the day to day Computer Operations technical/ financial/administrative functions, management of the Computer Operations staff and Project Manage all Data Center projects. I oversee & document the UPS/power, Fire Suppression, HVAC Environmental systems, and Physical Security/Racking/Floor layouts for all of Presence's 12 Data Centers. Also I am responsible for the data center/facilities budget, vendors and maintenance contracts for the upkeep of the 2 corporate Data Centers and the 10 smaller computer rooms located within Presence's hospitals. I am currently investigating Colocation facilities to move & replace one of our corporate Data Centers. The core business/hospital systems I manage are by EPIC and Meditech. EPIC primarily run on an IBM Risc and Windows platform connected to IBM 8880 SAN hardware connected to via Citrix on an all Cisco network. Meditech runs on HP Unix hardware with EMC SAN storage. Excellent in Microsoft office Suite products. Recently we’ve begun invesigating IaaS cloud for O365.

Software: Currently I administer APC InfraStruXure DCIM Software to manage power/UPS/ HVAC in the computer rooms/racks, Anacomp online report archival and viewing, Access-IT security software to manage the door/badge access & Milestone cameras software for all the IS areas in all sites. Excellent in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Some of the Projects I've managed:

- Expanded main Data Center from 3000 to 5000 sq. ft.

- Installed new UPS's in several Data Centers.

- Installed new IBM server, storage and Nutanix hardware for the EPIC system upgrade.

- Migrated/merged mainframe, AS400s & other equipment from aquired hospitals to Elk Grove Data Center.

- Replaced Halon fire suppression system with Inergen system.

- Implemented a HIPAA compliant physical security system with badge readers/ cameras.

- Other projects...

Hardware: Currently IBM Power8 E850 & Power7 780 AIX and HP 8400, 7410 & 2470 HP/UX Servers, STK L700 tape libraries and IBM 8880 & EMC Symmetrix (PACS), Clariion & Centera storage.

Support: I am on call 24 x 7, as I have been most of my career, for any hardware, security and facility issues in any of the Data Centers. I had been first line mainframe on-call support for much of my career until we retired it in 2010. I have previously implemented or administered: TSO/ISPF, JES2, CICS, DB2, CA-1 & TSM (tape management), ASAP, Control-M (job scheduler & console automation), ViewDirect and Control-D (report distribution), and Beta44 (tape stacking) software, ACF2 mainframe security, Maxxess physical security, CA-1 & Tivoli Storage Management (tape backup), SAR (report archival), Express Delivery (report distribution), Zeke (job scheduler), PNMS3 (problem mgmt), and have done Xerox laser printer programming.
