Responsibilities: Coordinates billing to assist the billing and coding staff by capturing completed consults, surgery, and progress reports, in addition to patient demographics and insurance information from an off-site location. Confirms the insurance information and patient information is up to date and accurate. Enter appointments into our GE/IDX application. After all information is compiled for each patient, it is then scanned over to the coding department for coding /billing purposes.

I also have a working knowledge of the EPIC hospital system and IDX, while presently working to expand that knowledge. Responsible for forwarding final reports from our Kidney Evaluation Clinic to the referring physicians, for their records. Responsible for DHMH/Kidney Disease Program (KDP) requests sent to the State of Maryland for assistance for patients with dental needs in order to prepare them for transplant listings.

Proficient in use of various office applications: GE/IDX, Presidio (Transplant Application), EPIC and Meditec systems.

Working knowledge/use of Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft /Word, some knowledge of Power Point. Assessment of physician calendars to schedule appointments and support physicians in various administrative activities.

Currently assisting (front desk) at the Dialysis Vascular Access Clinic presently run by Dr. Eugene Schweitzer and Tina Stern, RN.
