Dear Chris Najem,

My name is Garrett Essman and I am interested in applying for the Customer Service Representative position at the Lighthouse Placement Services in Methuen. I graduated from the University of Vermont in the spring of 2017 with a major in economics and I am looking to start a career in the banking/finance industry. My experiences in varying service industries have instilled a strong, client-oriented focus in my work ethic which I believe translates well into this position at Lighthouse Placement Services.

My client-driven approach is about identifying the needs of clients and building strong relationships with them in order to provide the best service possible. I have developed this work ethic at every position I have held starting from my very first job as a Lifeguard to my current position as a grower and salesman for Applefield Farm. As a Consumer Advisor for the Vermont Attorney Genearl's Office, I developed my patience and data management skills through assisting consumers who suffered significant financial or personal loss. At the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program I strengthened my communication skills by learning new methods to assist refugees whom did not even speak English. I also love being an active member of my community and substitute teaching has been a great way for me to give back to the school system I attended growing up.

My current position in growing and sales at Applefield farm provides the opportunitiy to bring all of my skills together. Our team is continuously adapting to ever-changing conditions in order to build strong business relationships with Whole Foods Markets and local restaurants. I have also had the opportunity the develop my communication skills and community relationships by working as a vendor at the local farmer's market. After reviewing my resume, I hope you will agree that I am the type of skilled and resourceful candidate you are looking for. I look forward to elaborating on how my varied skillsets and abilities will benefit your organization. Please contact me at 978-***-**** or via email at to arrange for a convenient meeting time. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Best,

Garrett Essman
