Autocad/Microstation Civil CADD Designer

(Contract)

Working with the engineering staff to complete on going roadway construction proposals and revising existing civil drawing plans. These projects were located in Sumner County (Airport Rd) and Knox County (S. Castle St.) areas. Also working with company and TDOT (Tennessee Dept. of Transportation) CADD standards and new project CADD design work. The work consisted of “red-line” edits, communicating with a remote Civil Engineers within Khafra Engineering, daily meetings with the supervising/project Civil Engineer, print/plotting drawings for review and either weekly or bi-weekly phone coordination meetings with the TDOT. Using Autodesk 2014 3d Civil and Microstation Geopak (with the assistances of staff Civil Engineer) to design roadway alignments, “cut and fill”, CADD standards development and new designs for proposed roadway layout. Most of the work was originally produced created with Microstation V8i and converted to Autocad so engineers with experience with Autodesk 2014 3d Civil could be used.

Freelance CAD design Work (CADD Graphical Solutions) 2008-Present

While between positions, I’ve preformed freelance work through by networking with companies, LinkedIn or word of mouth. Have done architectural room editions, complete home designs with either AutoCAD, REVIT architecture or Chief Architect software. Using Solidworks, obtaining work though LinkedIn, Solidworks User Group Meetings, Craigslist and word of mouth. I’ve preformed “reverse”product design of ladies footwear, electrical equipment, sheet metal design of HVAC duct work, conceptual structural building design and conceptual product designs.

While working remotely from home, I worked on existing cell site upgrade modifications for T-Mobile in the South and North Carolina Areas. This consisted of using site photos, aligning drawings with Google Earth, redline corrections, creating Autocad drawings and PDF for submittal to the prime customers.

Converting the rendered data (point cloud) which was rendered from a UNIX bases Silicon Graphic system into a 2d/3d dgn/dxf/dwg format. So the finished data can be used with Microstation or AutoCAD. One major client was the Japanese Nuclear Energy Commission. I was included with a team to scan the interior of a nuclear power plant, which I participated.
