Talent Acquisition Specialist / Sourcer

Compensation & Classification Analyst

• Reviewed job descriptions for all new and vacated positions and properly classified prior to employment offers. Determined FLSA exemption for non-faculty staff positions.

• Interpreted and communicated Federal, State and University policies, procedures, practices and regulations regarding hours of work, flexible work schedules, overtime/call-back pay, promotions, transfers, hiring rates, etc.

• Facilitated training sessions for supervisors on the classification process and compensation policies and procedures.

• Provided consultation to supervisors, business managers, and provost regarding mid-year increases, counter-offers, transfers, reclassifications, or new hire salaries. Approved salaries up to $100,000 within the University Range.

• Queried, analyzed, and reported pay data for national salary surveys and International Students and Scholars Actual Wage requests utilizing SAP.

• Assisted and partnered with Employee Relations regarding grievances and department reorganizations.

• Reviewed and approved Temporary position requests. Tracked assignments and sent expiration reminder emails to the business offices.

• Researched and resolved position issues, data clean up, and other SAP system problems or discrepancies.

• Participated in the development of standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines for OnePurdue project and SAP implementation. Including: cleansing legacy data to be converted prior to “go-live,” defining new codes, creating new HR forms and crosswalk spreadsheets, participating in mock tests, entering and correcting data, advising and assisting others learn the new system.
