Description: This project involves simulating an employee search engine system. The Employee Search Engine is intended to create a web application that provides the employee working in a corporate company to search for other employees. The special feature of this project is using Object Store as the database. The administrator has the access to update, modify and delete the information of the employees. Session management and form validation was implemented. Responsible for installing Object Store 5.5 database on Windows XP Platform and integrating the database with the front end using JDK 5.0

Description: Web Sphinx is a WebCrawler (a robot or a spider) that browses web pages automatically. This project SPHINX is a JAVA toolkit and interactive development environment for web crawlers. SPHINX is geared towards developing crawlers that are web site specific, personally, customized and re locatable. WEBSPHINX is intended for personal use to crawl over a small part of the web. The main function of the project WEBSPHINX is to search the top universities in United States. It is a personally, customized search engine to search for universities providing the required computer science course. The project also deals with providing the website (URL) address of a given site in the URL textbox. Given the URL address of a website the control gets directly transferred to the homepage of the given website. Responsible for creating the interface of the WebCrawler and integrating it with the database.
