Benefits Administrator
Responsible for administering employee health, welfare and 401(k) plans. Other duties included scheduling, coordinating and presenting monthly benefits orientation meetings for newly eligible employees. • Changed the company from fully insured to self-insured by doing so we were only responsible for paying out the claims that had occurred. This in return lowered our benefits expense and lowered the employee contributions.
• Added Life, STD and LTD programs to the company in return gave our employees a sense of security in case of any unexpected events and they needed extended time off from work.
• Gave the employees a sense of relief when it came to bills and insurance issues. Instead of just passing them to the TPA I would do as much as permitted by HIPAA to resolve their issue. This gave everyone a secure feeling that if a bill or issues had come up that someone could handle it with ease.
