INDUSTRIAL TRAINING

Company - SAIL, BOKARO STEEL CITY PLANT

Synopsis - This two week of industrial training gave me opportunity to understand the different working culture of the plant, the main product of bokaro steel plant is hot rolled coil, hot rolled sheets, cold rolled sheets and coil, tin mill black plates. The coke oven has 8 batteries, maintained meticulously in terms of fugitive emission control. The plant has five 2000-cubic metre blast furnaces that produces molten iron for steel making.

PROJECT & SEMINAR

Project Title: “GENERATION OF ELECTRICITY WITH THE USE OF SPEED BREAKERS”

Description: The main aim of the project is to show how energy can be tapped and used at a commonly used system, the road speed breakers. The number of vehicles passing over the speed breaker in roads is increasing day by day. A large amount of energy is wasted at the speed breakers through the dissipation of heat and also through friction, every time a vehicle passes over it. There is great possibility of tapping this energy and generating power by making the speed-breaker as a power generation unit. The generated power can be used for the lamps, near the speed breakers.

Seminar Title: “AUTOMATIC ACCIDENT AVOIDING SYSTEM FOR AUTOMOBILE”

Description: This is a mechatronic system which act as accident avoider by using a particular technology “Vehicular Ad hoc Networking” (VANET), which enables communication over multiple wireless hop.
