Interact is a common application for all carriers which are hosted by Sabre. It has two modes: Reservation app and Check-In app. The Reservation app is used in carrier’s call centers to manage new bookings or existing ones and the Check-In application is used in airports at the ticket counter and the gates.

The carriers have codeshare agreement, sometimes simply codeshare, is an aviation business arrangement where two or more airlines share the same flight. PROJECTS @ ADP INDIA PVT LTD:

Project : Psoft replacement project/ Mantis (QMSm):

Designation : Senior Member Technical.

Role : QA Lead

Duration : May 2011– Oct 2012

Team size : 4

Description:

Dealer Services used to manage defect tracking through the Quality Management System (QMS) which is based on the PeopleSoft CRM Quality Module. The QMS system tracks defects, issues and PCR’s (enhancement requests) and fixes .PeopleSoft has been purchased by Oracle Corporation.ADP dropped PeopleSoft system support because our heavy customization of the product severely limited our use of their customer support, fixes and patches offered. The present version of PeopleSoft is reaching end of life and the upgrade path offered by PeopleSoft is inadequate. An upgrade would mean additional, extensive customization just to maintain our current use. Oracle (who now owns PeopleSoft) has not recommended an upgrade as a feasible option and has instead referred us to a different product they recently acquired.A system replacement is the most feasible, cost effective approach to continue to meet the growing needs of defect tracking for ADP Dealer Services.

The goals of this project are to construct, and deploy a high-quality, web-based defect management tracking solution that will leverage ease of use, provide consistent results, built-in user reports and Trend reporting for management. The new QMSm system will provide the ability for more in-depth integration with ADP subsystems (i.e., IBM Rational ClearCase, Vision Knowledge Base, Mercury Quality Center and the Patch System) and reduce administration overhead by automating features such as user account initiation, on-line self-help and on-line training.

Responsibilities:

oPrepare QA Findings Reports and circulate weekly status reports to all stakeholders.

So it is important that these systems should be available at all the times and need to be monitored continuously for any performance deviations. DMS Monitoring Repository is an application which collects the performance data from these DMS systems at pre-defined intervals, sends the data to centralized hub and from there a post processing program will be executed to process and store the data in database. A number of reports like dashboard, health metrics, and runaway process reports will be generated daily/need basis to monitor the health of the systems. The different performance metrics that we collect from these Linux machines are related to processor (CPU), memory, process and network.
