Member of Treasury Management. The ALM Department reported directly to the Treasurer of the bank. Under the treasurer’s guidance the ALCO data was produced and distributed to the members on a monthly basis to be discussed at the monthly ALCO meetings. Also presented were new ideas to Senior Management for Investment and Asset & Liability strategies. Liquidity was also monitored weekly and monthly and distributed to senior management. (monitored daily when below minimums). On a weekly basis the deposit rates are reviewed. The ALM department receives a rate survey of selected banks weekly. Depending on the marketplace, bank’s needs and competition, made recommendations for rates. Recommendations were accepted about 99% of the time.

Member of the ALCO Committee/Risk Management. As an ALCO member, was the major presenter during the meeting. To prepare for the meetings I gathered, compiled and analyzed the static Gap report, Net Interest Income risk (NII), Economic Value of Equity (EVE), Investment portfolio, Liquidity, Time Deposits and graphs in order to review them at the ALCO meetings.

After the financial crisis wrote from scratch a liquidity contingency funding plan that was approved by the ALCO committee and the Board.

Member of the Controller’s Group/ Budgeting / Financial Planning Group Produced and maintained the budgets for the Treasury & Administration Divisions. Worked closely with these Division executives to develop the budget for the coming year. This included a balance sheet, rates, income & expenses and a profit & loss statement

Worked with an independent third party reviewing and validating the Bank’s ALCO and Liquidity policies, procedures and models. This was a regulatory requirement.

In order to enhance the ALM reporting worked with IT (Fidelity) to redesign, remap, test and implement all new interfaces for Loans and Savings & Time deposits files. These new files were then imported into the ALM software, Almeter.

Upgraded the ALM software to the next version and onto a standalone server for more protection.

Needed to enhance the bank’s capturing of monthly mortgage related cashflows. Tested and worked with IT to implement the CMS Bondedge software for this purpose.

Paragon (investment Portfolio accounting system) Member of the focus team that assisted Accounting in upgrading to the new version and identify corrections prior to installation.
