Project : Construction of Givaudan Flavours Production facility in Ranjangaon, Pune Job Contributions:

Supervised the fabrication, installation & testing of drainage, fire-fighting, utility, process piping, HVAC Ducting by contractor/vendors on site and reported any discrepancies to my superiors.

Inspected the welding, painting, testing of pipes as per the Client standards, specifications simultaneously achieved sound quality of works by implementing the Quality Assurance plans on site.

Performed dimensional, visual and mechanical inspections using standard documentation and procedures prior, during or after any activity.

Ensured the quality of mechanical works of the contractors and vendors meet the requirement of the client and raised Non-conformance report whenever necessary.

Presented and reviewed the MEP quality issues on-site with the Contractor/Sub-contractor during the weekly quality meeting and suggested a suitable action plan for resolving the issues.

Daily progress reporting to the planning/scheduling department regarding ongoing & completed mechanical related works on-site.

Coordinated the activities of the various vendors on the field and resolved any issues between vendors and the General Contractor to ensure a positive working atmosphere.

Reviewed the IFC & shop drawings of piping layouts, HVAC layouts, Wall cutouts, P&IDs’ with the design consultant and supported in releasing it to the contractor for construction.

Prepared the snag/punch list required to attain or reach Mechanical completion for each of the services and pushed the vendors to achieve the same.

Created and reviewed the component tagging list for the various equipment packages as per the client tagging philosophy.

Acted as an administrator of Aconex Field for the project which is used to capture issues on site, assisted in creation and execution of the FAT, IQ checklists as well as provided technical support to the project team.

Engineered, designed, developed and executed electronically metered seed drill which is an integrated machine that can perform furrow opening, sowing and levelling operations of very small sized seeds.

The machine included a variable electronic metering mechanism where row-to-row distance and plant-to-plant distance could be varied according to the requirements.

The idea and the outcome of the project were commendable and innovative in terms of efficiency, accuracy and being inexpensive.
