Roles & Responsibilities

• Check fit up & welding(after, before, during) operation as per approved test plan, relevant engineering drawing, international standard and project specification

• Arranging (NDT) preventive maintenance progress upon schedule and responsible for the proper inspection request. Verify that the NDT and tests have been carried out as per request review of QA/QC part of final documentations

• Preparation of the Test packs for Hydro testing & Punch and Maintain inspection documentations and prepare inspection reports, correspondence and other written materials.

• Coordinate of radiographic work requirement for any particular task and verifying the interpretation of radiographic films.

• Perform proper NDE method on finished weld on steel fabrication and piping, pipeline tie-in and insulation, existing gas plant installation.

• Inspection of the fit up in the in-process stage with respect of visual, dimensional and orientation compliance as per the approved drawings and specifications.

• Review of Inspection & Test Plan, Material verification, all stages of inspection, welding inspection.

• Carryout Material & Welding consumable inspection and follow Documentation of quality records as per ISO Standards.

• Perform functional checks and Mechanical completion checks.

• Inspection Test Plan according to client’s requirements and as per procedure.

• Preparing the progress schedule and reports and Identify the material (pipes, flanges, fittings etc.) as per the material take off list and isometric drawings during the fabrication. Supervision of construction, installation and erection of pipeline jobs.

• Review of contractor's WPS/PQRs prior to start of welding activities.

• Check edge preparation and fit-ups to verify that fit-up is within tolerance.

• Preliminary welding inspection activities (fit-up, root pass, intermediate, and hot pass, materials trace ability, dimensional checking and orientations of piping components)

• Check and assure that all joints are exposed for examination during pressure test.

• Check vents are open when filling and draining lines.

• Confirm repairs re-testing and re-inspection accordance to specification.

• Over all co-ordination with piping QC team.

• Internal inspection of fit-up, welding of pipeline, joint check-up of pipeline using P&ID and Isometric Drawings.

• Taking joint measurement of work done along with the clients / contractors and preparation of necessary certificate.

• Attending the Progress meeting with client and discussing about the work schedule.
