While at ONGC, KOC, Dowell Schlumberger-Petronas JV & with TOTAL E&P, I have supervised Mud Engineers from Baroid, MI, Baker-Hughes, KMC, EMEC, & SCOMI. Apart from Drilling Fluid operation, during all these years, my job encompassed, inter alia, supervising ‘Cementing Operations’, Solids-control, Mud-plant monitoring, Rig-site HSE/DWM, Logistics, Basic Corrosion management, etc. During Cementing operations, my job has been, to liaise with the Service Cos. for pre-job simulations, fine-tune the same, by running the inputs in Company-simulation software (viz., Total’s T-desk); take care of the logistics & ensure that the job is executed as per plan. This, I have been doing for nearly 23 years. I have adequate knowledge & understanding for 'Cementing-operation-supervision'.

Waste–Management: I have 24 years of experience in ‘Drill-cuttings-waste-management’. My 14 years Offshore exposure,has been in fairly-stringent ‘waste-management-regime’. I have adequate knowledge of current techniques employed, like ‘Rotomill’, ‘skip-and-ship’, cuttings-reinjection, etc. I have hands-on experience in cuttings-disposal through Rotomill, skip-and-ship.

Objective: Given my wide E&P experience, with Operators & supervising "Mud Engineers" from almost all the major-Service Cos., I am looking towards a role of "Fluids (Drilling/ Cementing)& DWM-Adviser/Consultant", wherein, saliently, I would be able to optimise the Drilling fluid programs-- making it more Reservoir-friendly ; Supervise Cementing Operations, Logistical management, Team- building & mentoring, Trouble-shoot Down-hole problems, etc.; oversee Solids-control measures, DWM & ensure HSE compliance, Implement Completion plans -- so as to maximise Production & last but not the least, achieve this KPI along with significant savings, in terms of Fluid-additives & through ‘zero-NPT/LTI’

Mar’2014- April’15: With TOTAL E&P, as Sr. Fluids Consultant (drilling/cementing/DWM), for Offshore Congo, drilling ERD/re-entry wells, 2500+m, HT, horizontal-reservoir-sections (using SOBM), onboard Semi-sub Tender. Supervising Drilling fluids Enggs., DF programmes /Cementing (technical evaluation/optimisation of service cos.-proposals, finalizing cmt-program & Job execution-supervision /DWM & Rig-site HSE issues, fit-for-purpose solution.

Dec’ 2013– Feb’2014: With Scomi, Thailand, as Lead Drilling Fluid Engineering Consultant, for Offshore Myanmar Project, drilling ERD wells, onboard Semi-Tender Rig; using WBM / SOBM.

1998-2005: As Sr. Offshore Drilling Fluid engineer / Company-man for Fluids (Drilling/Cementing) & DWM; in East/West-Coast, ONGC’s Offshore, Deep & Ultra-Deep-Water Wells, drilled at, up to 3200m water-depth, onboard ultra-deep-water Drill-Ships; Sour Gas environment. (POLYMER MUDS / CLAY FREE MUDS/ OBMS / HIGH DENSITY BRINES / CLEAN-OUT FLUIDS / COMPLETION FLUIDS). Supervised DF/CMT. Ops/DWM/ Mud engineers from MI, KMC, Baroid & Baker. Promoted to E-4 level.

1993-1998: (LAB-OFFICE EXPERIENCE) Headed the Stimulation-Lab, at ONGC’s INSTITUTE OF OIL & GAS PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY, as Well-Stimulation engineer. Designed Frac & Acidisation jobs on 2D-Frac simulator; Coordinated lab activities for Rock-mechanics related experiments on core samples, Acidization tests on core samples. Worked for other well-production related projects like Water shutoff, Corrosion, Wax, Scale, etc. Promoted to E-3 level.

1992-1993:As Sr-Drilling Fluid engineer, in Mumbai-Offshore, ONGC.

1985-1992: Worked as drilling-fluid engineer / Well-site Chemist, at ONGC’s HTHP onshore gas wells, handling DF up to SG: 2.1. (POLYMER MUDS / CLAY FREE MUDS/ HIGH DENSITY BRINES / CLEAN-OUT FLUIDS / COMPLETION FLUIDS). Promoted to E-2 level.

Joined ONGC Ltd, India, in May, 1985, as Graduate Trainee(E1 level), through All India entrance exam. Ranked in top5, among the qualifiers.

QA/QC: While working at IOGPT (1993-98), implemented ISO-9001-2000, certified by DNV, in the year 1996; as member, Internal-Auditor-Core-Team.

HSE: Well versed with the current Safety & Environmental Regulations.

Training Profile: During the last 30 years, attended numerous trainings at ONGC’s in-house training centers/external agencies; on Drilling Fluid engineering, Cementing, Work-over & drilling-technology, QA/QC, Safety & environment, Managerial-techniques, Sea-survival, etc. Underwent HUET training, thrice.
