PayX International – Led major segments of the in-sourcing of a major new European client into First Data’s Bratislava, Slovakia “Centre of Excellence”. Enhanced and customized various ATM modules and prepared test plans and supporting documentation.

Westpac Bank – Spearheaded the primary design and development effort for the technical implementation of a new debit card product to support the New Zealand Ministry of Social Justice’s Emergency Card Program. Card product received several awards from the NZ Government for generating $NZ30mm annual savings.

Australia New Zealand Bank – Played leadership role in implementing a new card product for ANZ. Designed new routing, encryption algorithms, and enhancements to support special transaction requirements. Initial rollout of 4mm cards with annual customer spend in the $AU250mm range, becoming one of the banks’ largest issued portfolios. Liaison with the Ministry of Social Development and Members of Parliament.

Elan Financial Services, US Bank (formerly Genpass) – Architected and implemented major components of a new proprietary debit and gift card system. Drove creation of a multi-site, hot-backup, fault-tolerant implementation in a load balanced environment for 25,000+ ATM devices and 1,000+ institutions.

SunTrust Bank – Managed the Triple-DES security implementation effort. Redesigned new ATM load groups leading to enhanced throughput, fault-tolerance, and operational efficiency.

Citibank – Managed numerous projects for all new client initiatives and merchant services. Designed specifications and architected fault-tolerant pont-of-sale processing environment for maximum throughput. Responsibility for micro-payment processing environment for $35bn corporate banking customer.

NASDAQ Stock Market – Transitioned AmEx market acquisition from SIAC to NASDAQ. Architected major components of a consolidated quotation and order system, trading 2 billion shares per day and 8 million quote updates per trading session, leading to enhanced depth-of-market visibility.

Magic Line – Executed system balancing and tuning efforts, restructured system operational methods, and orchestrated Y2K implementation for 1,300 ATM devices at 900 financial institutions. Achieved Six Sigma levels of system availability within 4 months, retaining clients and improving customer satisfaction.

Applied Communications, Inc. – Lead Designer for $2mm enhancement project to support multiple service bureau customers across Canada. Lead estimator for mission-critical infrastructure enhancement for South Africa’s largest card processor via the London development centre.
