My research is focusing on the molecular mechanisms of metabolism and metabolic disorders, including obesity, diabetes and other metabolic syndromes, cancer. I am a highly motivated individual having super expert skills and knowledge in this field as evidenced by my excellent record of publications in peer-reviewed journals with high-impact. In recent years I have been in the front line of mentoring lab members, oversighting the routine activities, and communicating with PIs and external collaborators. I am passionate about doing science and enjoy the intellectual challenge it involves. Besides curiosity what fascinates me most about the research is to discover what’s possible to help treat human patients. I am fascinated and extreme interested to do some innovative inventive research that can make a difference and help to solve problems of relevance to human health. Recently I created the UCP1/Tomato mouse model, we are one of the few labs in the USA to FACS analysis adipocytes. Paper published in Cell Metabolism December 13th, 2016. The paper is highlight by Nature Reviews Endocrinology 2017. EDUCATION:
