Please consider my resume as application for employment with your company. I am a Senior Operations / Manufacturing / Supply Chain Executive with over 25 years experience. I have a history of saving my employers several times my annual salary. I am a problem solver and can quickly add to the bottom line. In October 2009, after the closing of the Beckman Coulter plant, I joined IMS-ESS Aerospace, which closed in 2013, at which time I helped set up and incorporate a medical/health care group.

As the Site Director at Beckman Coulter, a $4 Billion medical device / reagent manufacturer, I led the efforts of the Lean Team to reduce the production foot print by 40%; reduced Finished Goods inventory from over $12 Million to less than $1 Million and improved on-time customer deliveries from 86% to over 98%. I improved efficiencies by 30% year over year, and improved revenue per employee from an average of $39,000 per month, to currently over $93,000. I improved first pass yields by implementing Pareto Analysis, and resolved all production induced errors. I managed the outsourcing of components, sub-assemblies and OEM/Turn Key projects. All annual goals were met or exceeded. My team was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Senior Vice President for introducing a new product in record time with minimal validation issues. I had responsibility for Production, Engineering, Test, QC, Purchasing, Planning, Warehouse, Ship/Rec, worldwide inventory and supply chain. Inclusive in that is a 40 acre facility that has 11 buildings with 1,000,000 sqft under roof. There was a 65,000 sqft machine shop, a 54,000 sqft plastics shop where we had 18 blow mold, injection mold and extrude machines, a 25,000 sq ft print shop, a 55,000 sqft bio-chem lab, and about 250,000 sq ft production area for diagnostic instruments. I managed an annual budget of $200 Million, managed ~100,000 SKU’s, reduced supplier base from over 1250 to less than 450 through consolidation and metrics evaluation. I sat up JIT, VMI, Kanban, with vendors.

At PCOM, I managed Worldwide Operations and was responsible for 7 manufacturing sites (one in Germany, one in Florida, two in California, one in Italy, one in China and one in London). I reorganized the manufacturing processes to allow lead times to be reduced from 16 to 8 weeks ARO, and improved system performance by developing standard ATE systems and system to system testing for millimeter wave radio equipment. I implemented Halt/Hess testing to improve field performance from 80% install yield to over 98%. Overall production improved by 35%, and I was able to design and install a low cost burn-in system which reduced field failures in the first year by 50%.

At Synergie Wellness Products, I was one of the original employees. I redesigned the product to reduce the models from 3 to 1, which saved about 40% floor space and inventory requirements. I implemented “lean” at the start of the process and was able to reduce the cost of materials and labor 75% from the original estimate. After getting production up and running, I hired and trained the production, sales and marketing, and QC staff. I headed up the Regulatory department and filed the required 510K forms. In addition, I was responsible for the acquisition of a Nutracutical company. I merged the production of health foods, vitamins, beverage production into the San Diego facility. I have implemented ISO-9001 certification in three companies (I am also a Certified Internal Auditor), I have implemented FDA / cGMP / ISO-13485 compliance for Medical Equipment Manufacturing. My utilization of Statistical Process Control and Pareto Analysis processes has helped me establish improved and consistent quality levels which have met the requirements for the “Ford Q-1” Quality Award (at Philips), in a plant where we were shipping over 10,000,000 (ten million) components per day.
