PROFILE: Throughout my twenty plus year career in sales and operations management I have been responsible for overseeing the operations of districts comprised of a number of multi-million dollar stores in the consumer electronics sector – most recently with The Source division of Bell Electronics. I am adept at developing high performance teams, maximizing growth in sales revenues, generating bottom line profits and consistently improving service quality and customer loyalty. In addition, I am very strong in the area of controlling operating expenses and payroll budgets, handling personnel issues, accounting, merchandising, and all aspects of loss prevention. I obtained my Diploma in Finance from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and I am fluent in English and Punjabi.

ASM (2017- Present)

Responsible for sales staff and driving the sales for the store

Over see the entire store and new appliance department


District Manager (2016 – Jan. 2017)

Responsible for sales, staff and operations of 9 locations in northern BC

Turned around the district from -27% YOY lose to +5% YOY sales increase in 2016


District Manager (2014 – 2015)

Responsible for building the district in the three provinces including recruiting, training, coaching of sales staff and managers

Consistently performed in the top three districts. Average month over month net increase of 35%


Manager, Business Development (2011 – 2014)

In charge of special projects and implementing new policies and procedures including the deployment of a new POS system

Managed the deployment of Target Mobile in all Target Canada locations

In 2007 I took over a newly creating district in BC. In 2008 performed 4th (1.5 million net profit) in the company. In 2009 increased the net profit to $1.7 million (number 1 in the company). In 2010 my district had an increase of $$2.1 million net profit and performed in 1st place out of 15 districts in the company

Over the years at Glentel I won numerous contests: including trips, cruise, golf trips, hockey tickets, TVs, etc.

District Team Lead (1999 – 2005)

Started my career in the summer of 1999 with Glentel Inc. as a sales associate and was promoted to store manager in January of 2000

In 2002 I was promoted to District Team Lead (DTL) and over looked five stores

Involved in the implementation of two POS as consultant and liaison from the field

Responsible for the sales and operations. As well as recruiting, training of staff for the 5 locations

During my career as a store manager and DTL I recruited and trained numerous sales associates and also trained promoted over a dozen managers
