US Navy Radioman/Electronic Technician (E-6) May 1986 - April 1999

Served onboard 3 nuclear-powered submarines with one shore tour as radiomen instructor (NEC 9502) earning the Master Training Specialist certification. Utilizing curriculum development expertise successfully implementation of a major revision to the AN/BRT-2 Special Communication HF Subsystem, reducing the course length by 3 weeks. Exceptional initiative qualifying as Diving Officer of the Watch, most senior enlisted watch-station, certified to stand this watch during Special Warfare launch and recovery operations. Vast knowledge of submarine equipment and operations, coupled with rate conversion cross-training and a member of the ship’s emergency training team earned the selection of Sailor of the Year.
