Delta Systems designs and manufacturers electrical switches, LCD displays and electronic control units for the outdoor power equipment industry. Process include plastic molding, electronic and mechanical assemble.

Managed department of 7 Quality Technicians responsibly for plant Quality, testing and inspection for all manufacturing including plastic molding, electronic and manual assembly and stamping.

Responsible for customer relations including customer complaints, field warranty and line rejects. Perform timely and accurate analysis of all RMA’s to determine root cause failure using various Quality tools. Recommend whether or not to grant warranty based upon analysis.

Interface with Manufacturing, Product Development, Engineering, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and Regulatory Affairs to assist with obtaining resolution to customer complaints.

Respond to customer corrective action requests including full root cause analysis, determination of permanent corrective actions, and implementation and follow-up of corrective actions.

Established, maintain and report monthly warranty costs and trends to management of all customer quality concerns.

Successfully reduced warranty costs by 70% in the first year for savings of $850K.

Represent Quality and participate in new product development teams.

Administrates the PPAP submission process including obtaining supporting process and product data to support the APQP internal and customer submission and approval process with direct Quality responsibility for Control plans, Gage R&R, development of in-process sand finished assembly inspection criteria to verify customer requirements are met, proper validation of equipment through the use of the IQ, OQ and PQ.

I have 30 years’ experience in manufacturing operations environment encompassing various leadership roles including senior Management positions. My background covers Quality, Production, Purchasing, Quality Engineering, Material Control and Customer Service. I have experience and training with Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001:2008, ISO 9001:2015, AS-9100,ISO-13485:2003, and FDA regulations (cGMP) for Medical Device Manufacturing as well as a Tier one and Tier Two automotive supplier.

I have hands on working experience in areas of problem solving, inventory control (MRP), financial planning, and Quality System development. I have developed, implemented and, conducted training to employees at all levels of the company for compliance and understanding of procedures and work instructions for ISO-13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008, Coast Guard C.F.R 46, SOLAS, various military specifications and DCMA regulations per contract requirements.

Processes that I have developed, implemented and have been directly responsible for include corrective and preventative actions, MRB and disposition non-conforming material, calibration, incoming acceptance, statistical methods, document control, validation of automated and manual processes, on line inspection, PPAP, supplier quality, customer complaints, warranty, and product testing. I worked closely with Engineering during the product design and development phase to insure all customer and quality requirements were identified through APQP utilizing tools including PFMEA, DFMEA, process flow diagrams and control plans. I have experience working with manufacturing in transitioning from product design to production including, assembly line layout, development of in line check fixtures, and finial packaging. My experience covers a wide range of industries and processes including light and heavy assembly, metal fabrication, welding, power coating, plastics, electrical and electronic assembly and rubber extruding.

I have been a team leader and participated in continuous improvement events to improve manufacturing and Quality processes and standards through improved methods, policies, and procedures while reducing rework, scrap and downtime by using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. I have performed internal plant and external supplier audits to identify system deficiencies inside our plant and suppliers
