ENGINEERING PROJECTS INVOLVING MODELING, DESIGN, FEAs AND TESTING:

1.Formula SAE- Chassis and Chassis Components Design and Trained Racecar driver:

Elected as the Chassis Design Lead for UT-Arlington’s Formula SAE team (2014-2016).

Modeling with SolidWorks and FEM analysis (Static & Dynamic) using ANSYS and SolidWorks.

Primary goal to increase rigidity and specific torsional stiffness, optimizing for weight reduction.

Was involved in chassis and suspension tuning for neutral steering and reduced body roll.

Designed instruments mounted steering wheel, switch gear and seat backs for individual drivers.

Cockpit ergonomics and performed 6 different WCS simulations to ensure drive safety.

2.SCCA-F500 Class Racing- Chassis Design Lead/ Guide:

Served as Chassis Design Lead and Guide for the University’s SCCA-F500 Class Racing team.

4.Re-Engineering and Fabrication of Hybrid Back-bone chassis for 1964 Lotus Elan:

Personal project involving design and fabrication of a new chassis for a vintage sports car.

Goals achieved- Increased torsional and longitudinal stiffness keeping driver and vehicle components safety as paramount requirement.

Design of wind shields, windows, heat shields, steering wheel, etc

Modeling using CATIA, Pro-Engineering and analysis using ANSYS.
